Bloch Brothers Kentucky Club Mixture - The Aromatic Kentucky Club mix was introduced in 1934 by the Penn in Wilkes-Barre, PA, in this small pocket tin size. The Bloch brothers did not introduce the product but acquired the brand nine years later in 1943, and moved the production to Wheeling, WV, circa 1948.  However, the Block Brothers history goes back to the year 1879, when the two German immigrant brothers, Aaron and Samuel Bloch started this business in Wheeling, West Virginia.  The company was incorporated as The Bloch Brothers Company in 1890.  In 1969 they sold the business.  In 1978, it became a division of Culbro, which was acquired by Helme in 1983.  In the late 1980s,  John Middleton Inc. purchased the Kentucky Club brand, and was the last company to sell under this name, they discontinued it in 2017.
